Child protection has always been a priority at KIWI. The well-being of the children entrusted to us - and all other people who come and go from us - is the foundation and goal of all our educational activities. For example, children´ s rights are an integral part of our credo and we live by them in our daily work as well as in our projects.
An important milestone in the effort to make kindergartens and after-school care centres sustainable places of appreciative cooperation. KIWI protection concept. In 2020, as one of the first private sponsors in Austria, we began to develop this comprehensive writing and anchoring of our priority in cooperation with the Academy of the Child Protection Centre Die Möwe - (Seagull). The protection concept corresponds to the latest standards and includes a code of conduct for employees as well as guidelines for case and complaint management.
In the sense of a holistic approach, employees from a wide range of professional groups and – in the form of a large “system checks“ – children and families were and are involved in the development. Large parts have already been implemented and the corresponding content is communicated to our teams on training days, through lectures at the KIWI Academy and in-house seminars directly at the locations. The final implementation is scheduled for the year 2022/23.

Since September 2022, the Child Protection Center die möwe has acted as an independent ombudsman for all people associated with KIWI.
